"To those whom my life may touch in slight measure, may I give graciously of what is mine."

As sisters of the Delta Tau chapter of Delta Zeta, we put a lot of pride in the service that we do for our philanthropies. We are fortunate to be able to work both with the national organizations that we sponsor and the local Philadelphia community to help give back. Through this service, we are able to live by our creed and "give graciously of what is ours".

Our national philanthropy is Speech and Hearing. We work closely with our philanthropic partners, The Starkey Hearing Foundation and American Society for Deaf Children, as well as our national service project, The Painted Turtle Camp. Our local philanthropy is the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and Gallaudet University. We also support local organizations within our community including Grace Cafe, Saint Lucy School for Children with Visual Impairments, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and more.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation is a non-profit foundation that travels the globe with the purpose of giving hearing aids and other hearing assistive technologies to those who need them. Their goal is to give the gift of hearing and to connect lives around the world. Some of our signature events include our Hoops

for Hearing Basketball Tournament, Hotcakes for Hearing, Pie a DZ, and more.

To broaden our domestic impact and provide more ways for members to connect with our philanthropy, we recently announced a partnership with the American Society for Deaf Children. Through this partnership, our members have the opportunity to learn more about ASL, gain a greater understanding of Deaf culture, spread awareness, and become informed and effective allies of the Deaf community.

Our national service project is The Painted Turtle Camp, which is a SeriousFun Children's Network summer camp located in Los Angeles, California. This free-of-charge camp attends to children with over 30 different medical conditions and allows each camper to enjoy just being a kid. Each summer, we send sisters to volunteer at the camp for a week and help change the life of clinically ill children.
